Why I Started Writing Drama Scripts

I decided to write my own poems, scripts, choral speaking pieces, monologues etc, when I couldn’t find published stuff that wasn’t dated, slow and frankly boring for today’s young performers, as well as grossly overused in Festivals and classwork. I aim for originality and freshness, and try to write material that is lively, challenging, sharp and appealing to my students – and it works!
